It transplants well, is exceptionally vigorous (3' per year), and is more shade tolerant than Leyland Cypress. Green Giant Western Cedar's rich green summer color holds well through the winter. Also looks good as a background plant or specimen. Sometimes also called Green Giant Arborvitae.
