Dura-Heat® River Birch
According to Dr. Michael Dirr, "Dura-Heat® River Birch is the superior birch for the 21st century." Dura-Heat® warrants this accolade because it is more heat and drought tolerant than a regular seedling. The leaves on Betula nigra BNMTF are leathery and more closely spaced, resulting in a dense canopy, even on younger trees. The root system is densely branched with numerous fiber roots that facilitate transplanting.
