Chalk Maple
Named for its chalky white bark, this small to medium growing native has been fairly elusive in the trade. At first glance you would immediately think its a sugar maple except that it will typically max out around 25'. A southeast native understory tree that can handle shade, drought, and a variety of poor soil conditions is bound to make Acer leucoderme a star.
