Big Boy is an oak variety selected for a vigorous demeanor and intense red fall color that often looks like a scarlet oak. The new growth on Big Boy is pure green in contrast with the bronze hues that appear on many Nuttalls on the spring. This bold new Nuttall is named for the late Glenn Simmons of Natchez, Mississippi.
