Liquidambar styraciflua 'Slender Silhouette'

Columnar Sweetgum

This incredibly narrow form of Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua Slender Silhouette), is going to turn heads for years to come. Slender Silhouette Columnar Sweetgum is like a monument in outline: the parent tree is over 60' tall and barely 6' wide. Two rows of the tightly filled crowns construct the perfect colonnade. In 2007 'Slender Silhouette' won the Gold Medal Award from the esteemed growers association of Boskoop, Holland. Then in 2011, it won the Gold Medal Plant Award from the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society - see more here.
