Willow Oak (Quercus phellos) is considered by many to be the best street tree due to its fine texture, excellent upright-oval form, and proven adaptability and durability. Our Willow Oaks are trained and pruned from a young age to develop dense heads, clean trunks, and strong central leaders. For other excellent urban oak trees, look at Q. bicolor, Q. lyrata, Q. nuttallii.
